Alcazar Palace

The Alcazar is one of the oldest palaces in use worldwide. The Spanish king stays here when he comes to Seville. The palace was built by King Pedro I (XIV century) using Arab architecture. Recently, some chapters of the series Game of Thrones were filmed here. We can finish our visit with some delicious tapas.

Wine tasting

We will taste four wines from famous Spanish Denominations of Origin in an enchanting atmosphere. The oenologist Vicente Ortega will explain the characteristic organoleptics of each one (smell, colour, taste…), to learn how to distinguish these wines and to enjoy them at their best. Between each wine tasting, we will eat different kinds of cheese, each one combining perfectly with the different wines. In this way, we will clean our palate to taste the next wine.

The wines we will taste are:

-White Verdejo.                    A.O. Rueda. Cellar Faustino Rivero

-Red wine. Crianza               A.O. Ribera del Duero. Cellar Pingón

-Red wine. Crianza               A.O. Rioja. Cellar López de Haro

-Sweet wine                          A.O. Condado de Huelva. Viña Doñana. Wine for      dessert

Tapas and wine

Sevillian tapas are famous worldwide. Everyone who visits Seville loves to try a wide variety. We will walk to four well-known tapa bars where we will enjoy their speciality with a glass of wine or beer… There will be four different atmospheres, and consequently, four different kinds of tapas. We can enjoy traditional Sevillian tapas and modern tapas, called “fusion or design tapas”.

Cookery course

There is nothing better than going back to your home country and preparing   typical Spanish dishes for friends or relatives at the weekend. To be able to prepare them, a chef will explain how to cook magnificent gazpacho, Spanish omelette and paella, which are the same dishes that we can order in any restaurant. We can help the chef, have a glass of wine or beer, and enjoy an appetizer… Finally, we will sit down and eat the dishes together and you will be given the three recipes to take home with you. The cookery course will be held in a beautiful, old-fashioned food market.

Trip to Jerez city

The Tio Pepe Cellars, belonging to González Byass, are located in the centre of Jerez and were built in the middle of the 19th century. The cellars have curious names like Constancia, Apóstoles, Lepanto, la Cuadrada and La Concha, which is the most famous one, designed by Eiffel. The visiting time is one hour and a half. We will be seeing the most surprising places in the cellar and learning how sherry is made. The visit includes two glasses of different sherries.

At the end of the visit, we will walk to the restaurant where we will have some of the delicious dishes from the Andalusian gastronomy (the meal is not included in the price). After that, we will have a walk around the centre of Jerez, looking at the monuments, the old buildings…, and we can have a coffee (or whatever you fancy) in one of the splendid terraces. The coach will pick us up again and take us back to Seville, which will take one hour and a half by motorway.

Free

Free time for you to go for a walk, discover museums, parks, other neighbourhoods, or go shopping. If you like ,we can prepare a special event for you, like a visit to the Arab baths in the magnificent, old palace in the Jewish area of Seville. We can also arrange a visit to Doñana national park, horse riding…

But that’s not all. If you love horse riding, we can prepare an interesting outing to some woods near Seville. Another possibility is to go by bike or bus to Italica (the old Roman city, 206 b.C., 8 kilometres from Seville), have a fun, flamenco evening, or anything else you could wish for.
